Aboard a Train

Cutting through your landscape,

My sunlit window gleams

With your splendour. Your beauty

Pours, ripping at its seams.

An exalted green blooms,

The wind is on its toes.

My train swerves in rhythm

And chuckles as she goes.

Some tracks run alongside,

All spruced up by the sun.

They split and become two,

Or merge and become one.

And as we cross your lands

(the train, her world and I),

Your ever changing landscape

Does more than mystify.

Sands or soils or mountains,

Cities, farms or sea,

In each of your attire,

You are lovely to me.
