How long do we not acknowledge the vagaries of youth?
How long do we just close our eyes to blinding lights of truth?
To what extent we hide our fears, how tight we seal our lips?
How much do we prefer to lie, than being labelled uncouth?
Just how do we locate the line that separates right from wrong?
Is it to our intention or our act that we belong?
And who would judge our actions when there’s nobody watching?
Do we concede to emotions, or stay steadfast and strong?
How easily we hide behind the makeup of our mask?
And how do we prioritise values over a task?
What values are they anyway, that dance through space and time?
How do we know, where do we go, whom do we seek and ask?
